Centrally positioned in the heart of thriving Leeds Dock, The Master’s caters not only for the visitors to the Royal Armouries Museum, but also the local residents, businesses and the wider community. The brief was to create a space which can be enjoyed all day, by all people, from morning coffee to lunch to afterwork drinks and events. A space inspired by the intricate detailing of armour and medieval illustrations, colour and materials found within the museums collections, without feeling like you are in a museum. By removing the wall into the shop, the space becomes a considered continuation of the museum experience by blending the food & beverage offer with retail. We worked closely with the client through every stage of this project and provided a complete bespoke package of design, detailing, build & project management.
